Alexandra Templier is a multidisciplinary vocal artist based in Tio’tia:ke/Mooniyang /Montréal. In search of a holistic artistic experience, she combines her master’s project research in metaphysics and contemporary poetics (Sorbonne University, Paris) with her intimate exploration of the human voice through singing (opera, flamenco singing, Hindustani classical singing, Carnatic vocal percussion [konnakol], improvisation, extended vocal technique) and the body in motion (theatre and somatic practices).

Winner of a first prize for an emerging singer at the flamenco festival Suma Flamenca in Madrid (2013) – where she lived, trained and performed as a flamenco soloist for five years –, Finalist of the Montreal Diversity in Music Award (2019) and the Opus Award for Best Concert of the Year (2026), her creation projects have toured both nationally and internationally.

With support from MAI (Montréal Arts Interculturels), the Conseil des Arts de Montréal, the Conseil des Arts et des Lettres du Québec and the Canada Council for the Arts, Le Vivier and many other institutions, Alexandra channels her diverse artistic background into multidisciplinary creations that connect with the audience on an intimate level,   questioning our habits of perception in order to re-enchant our relationship with the living.

Alongside her personal creation, she collaborates with numerous contemporary dance companies as a performer, sound designer, and artistic advisor.

For over fifteen years, she has also been developing her art practice in healthcare settings.

A certified Estill® Master Trainer, she also shares her passion for the human voice by offering mentorship and vocal coaching.
